Hinengaro is about the mind—it connects us spiritually and enhances all aspects of life. The glowing eyes inside the head embrace the wahine, symbolizing how thoughts surround and guide us. The tiki represents the voice in her mind, fueling her creativity, intuition, and inner thoughts.
The tiki's mouth is a third eye, linking the wahine to spiritual realms, while its own eye on the forehead highlights the mind's complexity. The spiral and rauru design reflect growth, strength, and peace, mirrored in the tiki's eye, mouth, eyelids, and earring. The koru patterns near her feet symbolize her connection to the land, reinforcing the balance of mind, spirit, and whenua.
